As we've seen previously, piano teaching apps are a huge advantage to your piano teaching workflow they help with organization, planning, accessing resources, joining networks and more. There's a good few piano teaching apps out there for Music teaching and music making, but we've gone ahead and found the best of each so that you don't have to. Within this post, we have included our favorite metronome app, calendar app and all round music teaching app.

  1. The Best Metronome: Sound Brenner Metronome App  It's surprisingly difficult to find a metronome app that meets our demands. It needs to have a lot of variations in tempo / speed bpm etc. however, at the same time it needs to be relatively simple to use, so that this doesn't put off our students from using it. We often recommend putting aside ten minutes for you and your students in your first lesson, to download a few apps on their phone that can make their life a little easier. iphone-410311_640

  2. The Best Source of Quick Music: MuseScore App  If you're struggling to get a student excited for the examination syllabus we recommend getting them to download this handy little app, which has a great source of free piano sheet music and arrangements in every genre.

  3. The Best Organizer: Google Calendar  This is not an app that I need to wax lyrical about, we all know how this aids organization all with a seamless and easy to use interface. However, a feature that I do want to bring your attention to is 'goals'. With 'goals' you can set up practise times and then cross the event out if you meet them. A great way to motivate you and your students to reach your potential.

  4. The Best One to Make Your Students Download: Music Theory Helper Another excellent app, that will help your students as much as you. Work on your ear training, aural skills and much more. There is a countless amount of exercises to keep you occupied and a

  5. The Best All-in-One Solution: Eighty-Eight Keys. Yes we did just shamelessly mention our own app.  This handy little app includes the calendar, the metronome and also a billing section, so you can keep track of your accounts. Full of resources and information, it helps you to keep on track of your piano teaching.
